Craggy Range is a family-owned winery established in 1998, and situated in the shadow of the spectacular Te Mata Peak in the premium wine growing area of Hawke’s Bay, New Zealand.

Mary's is a neighbourhood restaurant by Craggy Range, located in the heart of Havelock North village.  Offering a full a la carte menu filled with bistro-style classics, nostalgic favourites and some new delicious inventions alongside an ever-changing list of cocktails, mocktails, local spirits and beer - and of course, Craggy Range wine.

Arriving in Hastings, the skyline to the west is dominated by the Kaweka Ranges with places of great beauty and historical interest.

This long, narrow estuary with its wide range of fresh to salty, shallow to deep, and sandy to muddy habitats supports an extremely diverse range of birds, fish, invertebrates and plant life.

Te Mata Peak, behind Havelock North, gives 360° views of Hawke’s Bay.

Bell Rock is an iconic lookout accessed reached via a medium intensity walk.

Covering more than 60 ha, the Tukituki Estuary includes Grange Creek and all the wetlands and associated riparian margins between the lower Tukituki stopbanks for a distance of 800m upstream from the mouth.

Lake Tūtira, and it's neighbouring Lake Waikopiro, is home to an abundance of wildlife and is a popular fishing spot. Alongside the lake is the 463 ha Tūtira Regional Park, maintained by the Hawke's Bay Regional Council, which has an erosion control, sustainable land management programme in place.

This wide, smooth path affords stunning views across the Pacific Ocean, Tukituki River and countless vineyards (it's the GREEN section on the Hawke's Bay Trails map).

Belying it's official name as the Water Ride, this section of the Hawke's Bay Trails takes in a range of rural and urban landscapes, albeit many with stunning views of the Pacific Ocean, Ahuriri Lagoon and Tutaekuri River (it's the ORANGE section on the Hawke's Bay Trails map).

The Tukituki Trail is dual-purpose limestone tracks on the banks of the Tukituki River between the towns of Waipukurau and Waipawa in Central Hawke’s Bay.

The Mohaka River headwaters are found in the Kaweka and Kaimanawa ranges.

The Tukituki River flows for 117 kilometres, east and then northeast, passing through the town of Waipukurau before flowing into Hawke Bay close to the city of Hastings.

Napier’s bike pump track was designed by Jeff Carter of Rotorua’s South Star Adventures, the pump track is inspired by a track located in Mendrisio, Switzerland and has been popular since its completion in March 2015.

Te Urewera, home of the Tūhoe people, is the largest area of native forest in the North Island and offers a wonderful escape in ancient untouched rainforest. Please refer to the Ngai Tuhoe website for the latest updates regarding Te Urerewa access.

Weaving in the shade of the willow trees along the Tukituki Trail in Central Hawke's Bay, this grade 2 track is a great introduction to mountain biking.

Lake Kaitawa is an artificial lake formed in the 1920s as part of the system delivering water to the Tuai hydro electric power station.

The Kaweka Trail provides an excellent cross-section of rural Hawke's Bay.

The 9 hole course is situated beneath the Kaiweka Range, surrounded by native bush and farmland with sheep grazing the fairway - iconically kiwi!

With a distinctly rural feel, Puketapu Park might be a bit off the track but it is worth the trip!

Te Angangi Marine Reserve was established in August 1997 and is managed by the Department of Conservation.

The Waipawa Pavement walk guides visitors through significant historical areas of Waipawa.  Begin the easy one-hour walk at the Heritage Trail Board in the carpark beside the Central Hawke's Bay Museum.  Waipawa has the distinction of being one of New Zealand's earliest inland towns.
