A truly memorable experience at Blackburn Ridge is our priority.  We have tailored the experience to include a range of excursion trails, that will suit all fitness levels and ensure that you see most of the breath-taking surroundings and vistas. Upon your return, you can relax in our outdoor hot tub and then sit down to enjoy our delicious, prepared meals, with the finest quality ingredients and products all sourced from our local suppliers.

Check In

Arrive after 4pm at the Blackburn Ridge, a comfortable quiet country homestead. This would be a good time to light the outdoor wood-fired hot tub for the duration of your stay. Your deliciously prepared dinner will be in the fridge ready for you to heat up. A selection of local wine and beer is available to purchase during your stay or, if you prefer you are welcome to bring your own choice of beverage.

Ease into your day, that’s the beauty of staying at Blackburn Ridge. Breakfast is provided along with ample provisions to make a packed lunch for your day's activities. Choose from our selection of private farm walks. The Redwood loop would be our pick, stay as a group or split up depending on fitness levels and appetite for adventure. When you return, relax in our outdoor wood-fired hot tub followed by a delicious dinner back at the Homestead. Our meals are prepared with the finest quality ingredients mostly sourced from our local suppliers.

Day 02

E-Bike

• E-Bikes, routes and safety equipment all inclusive.

Swap out the private walk for an E-Bike adventure. We have a variety of E-Bike sizes to choose from, with helmets and optional high viz vests available. Our pick would be the Ongaonga historical loop.

Day 03

E-Bike

• Morning Tea

Sleep in and enjoy your last morning relaxing on the ridge or sneak in the quick “Lookout Loop” on your E-Bike. This is our favourite loop on a mountain bike. In 2021, it was this loop that sparked our initial interest in the New Zealand Agri-tourism business.
