Celebrate the arrival of He Whānau Kara o Maraenui / Maraenui's Family of Flags at Hawke's Bay Museum by joining us for a free drop-in creative workshop over four weekends.
This vibrant community-led project began with a vision to uplift Maraenui through a collection of vibrant handcrafted banners, bringing together volunteers from across Hawke's Bay under the guidance of acclaimed textile artist Ron Te Kawa. Inspired by the project, you're invited to create your own colourful paper collage banner to take home.
