Hawke's Bay is proud to be one of the world's Great Wine Capitals. This October, our region will welcome wine lovers, industry leaders and international delegates for the 2026 Great Wine Capitals Annual Conference and a series of exciting public events.

GREAT WINE CAPITALS INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE

Hawke's Bay is proud to share Great Wine Capitals status with world-renowned regions including Bordeaux, Napa Valley and Mendoza, recognising our place among the world’s leading food, wine and tourism destinations.

From 18–22 October 2026, Hawke's Bay will host the Great Wine Capitals Annual Conference, welcoming international delegates to celebrate innovation, collaboration and excellence in wine tourism. The event will showcase the best of our region, from award-winning wineries and exceptional food experiences to our landscapes and hospitality.

Locals and visitors are invited to join selected public events, including the International Wine Tasting Event featuring wines from leading global wine regions.
