Clothing communicates a range of information about the wearer. The way we dress is a reflection of our personal and cultural identity and the social and political climate in which we live.
Art of the Outfit examines clothing in paintings, sketches, sculptures, lithograph prints, photographs and figurines, revealing aspects of fashion and textile history. The exhibition explores the visual language of fashion in depictions of costume across cultures and time.
Open daily 9.30am - 5pm. Entry is free.
