Kereru Station
Our fantastic community fundraiser is back for a 3rd year! We are excited to welcome you back to the Kereru community to take part in another fabulous walk/trail run. The 2026 event promises to be another incredible experience traversing the historic Kereru Station, nestled under the Ruahine Ranges.
Along with our fundraising committee, the Kereru Station team are excited to showcase the stunning Kereru Station!
Make a day of it - challenge yourself and take in the amazing scenery while you walk approximately 18km, with a run option available. We also have a shorter walk detour available again. Enjoy a beautiful home-cooked packed lunch 2/3 through the walk, or at the end if you're running, and a well-earned refreshment and BBQ pit stop at the end.
Get a crew together, come along, and enjoy some good old country hospitality in the most stunning of locations!
You will need a moderate to good level of fitness, good walking or trail shoes, walking poles if you need them, warm clothing, and a backpack containing extra snacks and water. Not appropriate for small children in packs, unless this is something you do regularly. All children must be fully supervised and are not allowed to run ahead.
At the end of the walk there will be entertainment, a BBQ, and some refreshments available for sale. We will also have some market stalls at the finish with local handmade product and other items for sale. Relax and enjoy the afternoon, reveling in your accomplishment! Cash only, please.
NO DOGS PLEASE - as this is a working farm, please leave your beloved pets at home.
We really appreciate your support of our phenomenal rural community - all funds raised go towards opportunities for the children at our local school, and running costs and upgrades of our much loved community hall.
