Energy-busting activities for families
Sometimes kids just need to burn off some energy. We get that, and Hawke's Bay is here for you. Here's some of our favourite ways to entertain kids in ways which are also likely to tire them out!

1. Mini Golf
The family holiday game of mini-golf is a time-honoured tradition. And Hawke's Bay is no slouch, with two high-quality year-round options in Napier (Par2 on Marine Parade) and Hastings (Golflands Karamu Golf Club). So channel your inner Happy Gilmore, and we'll see you on the putting green.

2. Bay Skate
Napier's popular roller sports park on Marine Parade is great for newbies and pro's alike, with all manner of ramps, obstacles, dips and drops to test your skills. Roller hire is also available for cruising the Marine Parade walkway on the doorstep of Bay Skate.

3. Ranui Farm Park
This working farm near Waipukurau throws open its doors on the first Sunday of the month for Sunday Funday. Enjoy kilometres of mountain biking trails, a flying fox, 70-metre long waterslide, archery, golf, paintball and much more.

4. Parks and Playgrounds
You (or more specifically, the kids!) are spoiled for choice with amazing parks and playgrounds from top to bottom, Wairoa to Central Hawke's Bay, and pretty much everywhere in between.

5. Whitewater Rafting
Join the great team at Mohaka Rafting for a day on the water, with a range of experiences to suit children from 5 years and up. They've been taking kids out on the water for ages, so know all about how to great a great family-friendly experience including a few thrills and spills!

6. Trampoline Park & Laser Tag
A recent refresh saw it become Velocity Entertainment (previously Flip Out), but it's the same site that's been entertaining local and visiting kids for ages. An indoor trampoline park, laser tag, and arcade games - all under one roof, in the middle of Hastings.
