F.A.W.C! WORKSHOP: Kai workshop with Christall Lowe

580 Middle Road, Havelock North

Christall Lowe is an award-winning, seasoned creative, having established a career as a highly acclaimed food writer, cook, and food photographer, and being awarded the New Zealand Food Photographer of the Year in 2022.

Most recently, Christall released her exquisite book Kai, a passionate homage to a life deeply rooted in food, where exquisite flavours weave seamlessly with cherished food memories. Join Christall in the Farmhouse Kitchen to make oven-cooked hāngī using native flora and herbs, as well as seasonal and foraged greens to pack and cook your food.

Learn the art of rēwena bread using a bug/starter that first began life in my great, great Aunty's kitchen, and then using the rēwena bread, make condensed milk dough sticks – a yummy, nostalgic sweet served with custard and berry couli.

Ticket price includes three-hour workshop, lunch with a glass of wine. Recipe booklet from the day to take away.

F.A.W.C! is a series of exceptional food and wine experiences set in stunning locations in Hawke’s Bay. Running twice a year, F.A.W.C! is a chance to get up close and personal with chefs and food producers, wine makers and the clever people that make up the New Zealand food and wine scene. F.A.W.C! Winter Series runs every weekend during June.
