F.A.W.C! Ferments, Fungi + Famiglia Foreva!

376 Parkhill Road, Te Awanga, Hastings

Join winemaker Rod McDonald and sister-in-law, Kate Throp, for a wine tasting and long lunch centred around all things fungi!

Kate, a self-confessed recent recruit to the fungi fan club, is also the Cellar Door Manager from Margrain Vineyards in Martinborough so expect fungi matching wines from both Margrain + Te Awanga Estate.

Furthering the fungi theme will be delicious food from fungi-loving chef Lisa Pascucci and plenty of fungi-licous stories as we dip lightly into the magical kingdom of fungi. If you don't like fungi or any of its associated family members, then this isn't the event for you!

Definitely not a sit-still-and-be-quiet tasting, you'll while away the afternoon with good friends, tall stories, long tables, bottles of wine and bowls of fungi deliciousness from Italian chef Annalisa Pascucci. Lisa trained at the Slow Food Italia Academy in Rome and has worked alongside such people as Roman chef Paolo Cipriani, and Italo-Peruvians Rosanna Visona and Ricardo Ruiz. Lisa will bring an authentic take on the fresh, simple, family fare of Italy.

Ticket price includes sit-down long lunch, all wines for tasting and lunch, pre-lunch drink.
