Hastings District Libraries Summer Sparks Challenge is for children aged 5-12.
The programme runs annually from early December to late January.
What is Summer Sparks? It's a fun set of challenges and activities providing an innovative and dynamic way of encouraging children’s learning and discovery over the summer holidays.
The programme incorporates a variety of literacy forms and methods, including, but not limited to, traditional reading-based elements.
Register for Summer Sparks via the library's website, then start completing challenges and be in to win! Give them a go! Karawhiua!
Reports can be made at any time of the day or night through the library's website, too. Or you can come in and see our smiling faces during our opening hours (just check that we're open first!).
Registration and Report-ins Start Monday, 1 December 2025.
