Centennial Garden Falls

Coote Road, Bluff Hill, Napier, Hawkes Bay

Centennial Gardens Waterfall is a short walk from Napier CBD (just 750m from the Soundshell on Marine Parade).

Set in Napier's Centennial Gardens. this is a man-made waterfall that tumbles 40 metres down a mossy rockface to the pool at the base. You can see the falls from the street, but the short walk to the falls is a must.

These well-landscaped gardens were once a quarry manned by prison labour. The gardens were developed in 1974 to commemorate the centenary of the establishment of Napier as a borough and a city.
