Art Hawkes Bay 'Artfully Yours' Exhibition

Art Hawkes Bay 15th Annual Exhibition- The event presents the work from artists and groups across Hawke's Bay in a single exhibition and competition during which all entries are for sale. 
The competition has prizes in categories such as 'land', 'people' or 'abstract', and there is a 'best in exhibition' the JW Picture Framing 'mystery prize' and a prize for High Schools.
The Exhibition opens on May 1st with the opening night at 5pm with prize giving at 6pm.
There will be live music, wine and nibbles with a variety of artwork and sculptures from our local artists.

Our selector for Art is Kate McKenzie -multidisciplinary artist, as a surrealist and expressionist painter and creator of 3D portraiture, plus a wearable arts designer.  Kate has experienced success as a finalist in art awards including The NZ Adam Portraiture Awards, NZ Parkin Drawing Prize, Hawkes Bay Review and East Art Awards. . She has twice been a Supreme Winner at the prestigious and international "World Of Wearable Art " Competition and some of her wearable art has been selected for exhibition at Te Papa Museum Wellington.
For sculpture- Glen Colechin (from the 2022 'big apple' competition for sculptures).Glen’s contemporary sculptures are made from recycled materials, off-cuts from native timbers, recycled copper, and natural elements like stone and wood found on hikes along the coast in the Hawkes Bay.
