Syringa House

Syringa House was architect designed and build out of heart rimu in the 1950s. Since then the house has been extensively renovated; restoring and preserving some original features while modernising and extending the space. Recycling some of the existing materials and fittings has been a labour of love. Relax in one of two new elegant apartments, set in a large private garden, in Havelock North. The Hot Tub apartment, at the front of the property, has two bedrooms (one queen bed, one double bed), living area, bathroom and large deck. The Studio apartment, at the rear of the property, has one large room (queen bed), bathroom and small private deck. The studio is designed to accommodate elderly or partially disabled guests with access ramp, and hand-holds strategically placed in the bathroom. Both apartments offer simple kitchenettes with tea and coffee facilities, toaster and microwave. Spend your days cruising the Hawke's Bay Trails by bike (complementary bikes available from accommodation) and languish your evenings away in the hot tub or by the outdoor firepit.
