Frimley Park

In 1967 the Hastings Rose Society, an off-shoot of the Hawke’s Bay Rose Society, worked with Council to establish the Frimley Park Rose Garden. 4000 rose bushes were planted, and Frimley Park is now home to more than 5500 beautiful rose bushes and is widely known as an “Old English” park.
Celebrate this beautiful park at the annual Rose Sunday family day on Sunday 8 November! Bring the whole family and enjoy live music, face painting and bubble blowing for the kids, coffee, berries and of course, the beautiful roses. The Hastings Rose Society will also be on hand to answer any of your gardening questions. Entry is free.
