A celebration of flowers, colour, light and joy.**
Flowers have an incredible ability to lift us. Their colour, beauty and natural energy can change the feeling of a space and bring a sense of happiness, connection and wonder.
Garden of Light is a joyful collection of smaller floral paintings by Central Hawke’s Bay artist Michele Courage, created from her deep love of flowers and her fascination with the energy and vibrancy of colour.
For Michele, colour is more than something we see. It carries feeling and energy and has the ability to heal. Through an intuitive painting process, she allows the colours, movement and expressive brushwork to emerge organically, creating works that capture not only the beauty of flowers, but the feeling they give us.
Each painting is infused with Michele’s intention to bring that sense of joy, vibrancy and uplifting energy into the spaces where her work is lived with.
These smaller paintings offer a more accessible expression of Michele’s distinctive style, creating a bridge between her large-scale artworks and a collection that can be enjoyed in a more intimate way.
Take a moment to wander through the garden, notice the colours and flowers that draw you in, and perhaps discover a little piece of light and joy to take home.

**ABOUT THE ARTIST**
**Michele Courage** is a Central Hawke’s Bay artist known for her vibrant, abstract and energetically infused paintings.
Her work explores transformation, connection, energy and consciousness through colour, texture and expressive brushwork. Michele creates intuitively, often beginning her paintings through meditation and allowing each work to evolve organically.
Her large-scale artworks are collected nationally and internationally for their beauty and uplifting energetic presence.
Garden of Light brings this same creative and energetic approach into a collection of smaller, more accessible original floral works — celebrating Michele’s love of flowers and the joy, colour and light they bring into our lives.
