The Cellars are an indie folk duo from Te Matau-a-Māui Hawkes Bay, made up of Isabella Aarons and Sinead Hegarty.
Writing and performing music together has been a source of healing and strength for the band over the years. Their sound is informed by an ever expanding list of artistic inspirations where detailed vocal harmony and intimate lyric writing take focus.
Forming in 2020, Isabella and Sinead reunited after both moving back home, realising they’d kept their spark for music and creative self expression. They booked their first gig at the Hastings Fringe Festival and haven’t looked back.
Alongside music they both work in creative fields, Isabella in Acting and Sinead in Music Therapy which now continues to inspire and shape their sound and approach to songwriting
