The Waipawa Musical & Dramatic Society invites you to follow the yellow brick road to the CHB Municipal Theatre in Waipawa, as they bring to life L.Frank Baum's beloved classic—The Wizard of Oz! (RSC version)
Join Dorothy and her unforgettable friends on an enchanting journey through the magical land of Oz, filled with adventure, heart, and timeless music.
With 10 shows over two weeks, it’s a must-see theatrical event that captures the wonder of this cherished tale and showcases amazing local talent.
An impressive production directed by CHB's own Madeleine Howard alongside Musical Directors Helen Walker & Kelly Mahoney and Choreographer; Wendy Waldrom featuring the songs you know from the classic MGM movie "Over the rainbow", "Follow the yellow brick road" and more.
There will be a LOCK-OUT during the opening scene of each act so please find your seats with time to spare.
Time on tickets is performance START time. Doors open 45 minutes prior to performances.

OPENING NIGHT is also the official launch of the SPRING FLING Festival with a special GALA NIGHT event planned (4th September), where guests are invited to mix and mingle before the show to help celebrate the launch of the festival. Ticket includes complimentary pre-event nibbles and a signature cocktail on arrival.
PLEASE NOTE: Doors open at 6.45 for the GALA NIGHT - with the performance starting at the later time of 7.30pm
