About Leigh:
Leigh Schneider is a Conceptual Fine Art Photographer, recently returned to New Zealand from Germany.
Infused with symbolism and allegory, her work is crafted to reveal the unseen via a visual medium. Discernible yet otherworldly environments, are inhabited by subjects who are often more involved with their internal states than their surroundings. A clean yet intricate aesthetic, overlays imagery that is underpinned by deep, often existential themes.
Taking weeks to create each piece, capturing the work on camera is just one part of a substantial process. Hand made elements and nature collaborate, extending the imagery into the realm of magical realism.
Her work has been awarded, published, exhibited and collected internationally. She is the Professional Grand Prize Winner of the 11th International Fine Art Photography Awards and has been a finalist multiple times in the prestigious Beautiful Bizarre Art Prize, amongst others. As well as offering limited edition artworks, commissions and other services, she is a passionate teacher, who loves to help others find vision, direction and purpose within their craft.
Spaces are limited—secure your spot and be part of an unforgettable creative evening.
