The longest place name in the world is 'Taumata whakatangi hangakoauau o Tamatea turi pukakapiki maunga horo nuku pokai whenua kitanatahu' and is located just south of the coastal village of Porangahau. Contact the guardians of this treasured site for a guided-tour of this famous hill - the sign pictured at the top of this page is in a freely available area approximately 5km from the hill.

The Tukituki Trail is a dual-purpose limestone trails network on the banks of the Tukituki River between the towns of Waipukurau and Waipawa in Central Hawke’s Bay.
