What is Hawke’s Bay F.A.W.C! Food and Wine Classic?
Twice a year, in June and November, Hawke’s Bay’s talented cuisine community band together to create a multi-day festival of food and wine. The Winter F.A.W.C! programme runs over four consecutive weekends each June and features 60+ events, while Summer F.A.W.C! is a ten-day affair that packs in more than 70 events.
Each programme is incredibly diverse, typically featuring masterclasses, degustation, winemaker’s lunches, garden parties, picnics in the vines and progressive dinners. The best part is that each experience is designed to be unique – something that’s not available at any of the time of year, which makes it feel a bit special. And everyone likes feeling a bit special, right?!
Showcasing the very best of Hawke’s Bay food and wine, F.A.W.C!’s success is based around the key ingredients of premium local produce, highly accomplished local and national talent leading authentic, innovative food and wine experiences, in truly amazing landscapes, complemented by great weather.
