The Paper Mulberry Café is a must stop on your way to Central Hawke's Bay! A blue church like building peers over the surrounding maize fields opposite Te Aute College. This beautiful historic building has been around pre Napier’s earthquake in 1931 making it 110 years old and for the past 20 year has been the home of the thriving Paper Mulberry Cafe. Serving fresh, delicious cafe food and excellent coffee (some say the best they have ever tasted) you can sit inside with our funky decor surrounded by a small range of local arts and crafts items, or sit lounge outside on sunny days in our delightful gardens. There is even a small play area for the kids and a resident cat!
