Te Mata House

Te Mata House, built in 1854, is a property steeped in history, now lovingly restored to create a luxury accommodation and venue experience in the heart of Hawke’s Bay wine country.

Accommodation is available in The Cottage. 

The Cottage is a purpose-built architecturally-designed guesthouse delivering an oasis of calm and light. Soaring high-pitched ceilings, beautiful fixtures and a carefully curated selection of local art make this a special retreat for up to four guests. Warm up beside the gas fire, enjoy a home-cooked meal at the bespoke leaner-style dining table, or sip wine in the secluded walled courtyard. 

Te Mata House is also available for weddings, events and garden & heritage tours.
