State Highway 2
Taniwha Daffodils can be seen alongside State Highway 2, with drifts of daffodils marking the roadside. This gorgeous site can be seen with the backdrop of the snow covered Ruahine Ranges in the distance. Come to pick, walk, ponder or picnic!
Once again the Mabin family will open their gates to the public for the annual Taniwha Daffodil display this September. The event marks the start of spring in Central Hawke’s Bay and visitors will be treated to many hundreds of Daffodil varieties in bloom in their 20 acre, park-like setting.
Families, groups, visitors and garden enthusiasts are welcome to come and wander through the daffodils, picnic, enjoy the sunshine and fresh air or pick up a coffee and snack from the ‘Coffee Shed’. This year attendees will also be treated to sculptures on display from Darryl Grant and Glen Colechin.
Entry is free and Daffodils are $5 for 30 stems or pre picked bunches are often on sale for between $7.50 and $10. Cash is preferred but eftpos will be available (signal dependent) and buckets are provided for picking. Taniwha Daffodils will be open SEPTEMBER 2018.
Once again proceeds will be donated to Central Hawke’s Bay Plunket.
Bookings for large groups are essential - please contact Esther Mabin. (06) 855 8369 / (027) 227 7230 or email@example.com
We will be open again from September 2018!
