Hawke’s Bay Farmers’ Market: Harvested on the Green – A Special One-Time Event in Havelock North!

The Hawke’s Bay Farmers’ Market is bringing a special one-time market event to Havelock North! On Sunday, March 9th, 2025, the market will temporarily relocate to the Village Green for Hawke’s Bay Farmers’ Market: Harvested on the Green, a celebration of National Farmers’ Market Week.

National Farmers’ Market Week, running from March 1st to March 9th, 2025, is a nationwide initiative that highlights the essential role of farmers’ markets in supporting local food producers and fostering community connections. Farmers’ markets provide a direct link between growers and consumers, ensuring access to fresh, seasonal, and locally produced food while strengthening regional economies.

A Special Market Experience in the Heart of Havelock North

To celebrate this occasion, Harvested on the Green will feature a vibrant market atmosphere filled with vendor demonstrations, tastings, a dedicated Kids’ Corner, live music, and more. Set in the spacious and centrally located Village Green, families can enjoy a relaxed morning shopping for the freshest produce while children take advantage of the playground. Visitors will have the chance to meet and chat with local growers and makers, learning more about the people behind their favourite market products.

Important Notice: One-Time Venue Change

Due to the Horse of the Year, the Hawke’s Bay Farmers’ Market will host this special one-time event at the Village Green on March 9th. This ensures a great experience for both events while giving marketgoers the chance to enjoy a fantastic morning in this vibrant location.

The market will continue as usual at the Tōmoana Showgrounds every other Sunday before and after March 9th. There will be no market at the Showgrounds on March 9th – instead, all vendors will be at the Village Green in Havelock North.
