Marine Parade for Kids

An undoubted jewel in Hawke’s Bay’s crown, Napier’s Marine Parade is a thriving playground for locals and visitors alike. The approximately 3km stretch of iconic seafront connects Napier with the Pacific Ocean, with stunning vistas encompassing Mahia Peninsula in the north to Cape Kidnappers in the south.

With a history dating back to 1889 with the development of a sea wall (sections of which are still visible), the modern Marine Parade has developed into a mecca for family-friendly activities and a focal point for many city events and celebrations. Starting with the bike pump track at the southern end, there’s at least a dozen opportunities for kids to create their very own Hawke’s Bay road trip - perfect for the April School Holidays.
