Cool off with a swim

A stop-off at local favourite watering hole out the back of Havelock North is the perfect way to kick off your road trip to two of the Bay’s popular white sand beaches for an afternoon of cooling off from the Hawke’s Bay sun.

The most direct route will see you pass by the striking architecture of Craggy Range Winery – perfect for a stop and taste of their world-renowned wines. Or you could take the indirect route via the Cape Coast and check out the delights of the seaside villages of Haumoana, Te Awanga and Clifton, before tracking back inland to the start of this road trip.
