Abbey Cellars: Spring Sessions & Spring Sundaze
Saturdays and Sundays throughout Summer
Kickback and relax and listen to the chilled sounds of local talents while sipping away on some of Abbey's boutique wines and beers in the vines. A staple on the calendar for locals, and a hot tip for visitors.
Church Road Live Summer Sessions
Sundays - 17 January, 14 February, 14 March
Church Road Winery are excited to be hosting some of Hawkes Bay’s finest acoustic acts across Sunday afternoons during the summer. Come down to the park and enjoy a delicious cheese board or platters, paired with a full section of Church Road wines.
Te Awanga Estate Sunday Sessions
Sundays - 24 January, 21 February
Join the good people at Te Awanga Estate on the Cape Kidnappers coast for a 'sesh' on the lawn - Te Awanga wine, great music and your vibe. Entry is a nominal $5 at the gate, kids under 14 are free, bring a picnic rug, sit back and relax. World-famous-in-Te Awanga pizzas will be available, along with platters and other morals of deliciousness.

Catch our beloved BLACKCAPS as they take on the exciting talent from Pakistan as international cricket returns to Napier's McLean Park. A great way to start a Christmas Baycation!
Boxing Day Festival
Sunday 26 December
The annual Boxing Day Festival returns to the stunning grounds of Cape Estate in Te Awanga, fresh off another sold-out festival in 2019. The festival delivers the best in Hawke’s Bay hospitality and entertainment drawing together family and friends in an open-air garden stage setting to bring you a memorable summer occasion.
Black Barn Open Air Cinema
Sunday 26 December - Wednesday 6 January
Relax on the grassed terraces of the stunning natural amphitheatre at Black Barn Vineyards, and take in one an outdoor movie overlooking one of Hawke's Bay's most iconic landscapes. Now in its seventh season, the Black Barn Open Air Cinema is a must-do for those visitors lucky enough to be in the region over the Christmas/New Year period.
Another Day in Taradise

It's Sweet 16 celebrations for the much-loved Another Day in Taradise at Moana Park Winery. With free entry, amazing tunes, great wines, and tasty festival food, where else would you want to be?
Bridge Pa Wine Festival
Saturday 23 January
Experience seven wineries in the Bridge Pa Triangle Wine District on one day! The wineries include Abbey Estate, Alpha Domus, Ash Ridge, Oak Estate, Paritua, Red Metal and Sileni. All will be connected by Hop On/Hop Off buses, while each winery has different offerings of wine, food, and music.
Saturday 23 January
SIX60 are bringing their groundbreaking 'SATURDAYS' tour to Hastings on Wellington Anniversary Weekend. Fans will be treated to the first live performance of some of SIX60’s latest material, alongside some of their epic hits, as well as a line-up featuring Shapeshifter, Kings, Maimoa and Nouri.
Saturday 13 February
Outfield Festival returns to the picturesque backblocks of Te Awanga, surrounded by its rolling hills, natural water features and nestled by the Clifton Cricket Club. Kiwi music icons The Phoenix Foundation will headline the 2021 event, alongside one of New Zealand's most evocative and profound young songwriters Nadia Reid and local Hawke’s Bay legend Thomas Oliver.
River Park Blues Fest
Saturday 13 February
Kick back and tune in to some amazing blues talent from around New Zealand at the third annual Blue Fest at River Park Event Centre in Central Hawke's Bay. Enjoy performances from the Self Righteous Brothers, The Flaming Mudcats, The Recliner Rockers, Tony Painting Band, and Brilleaux. Camping options available!
Napier Art Deco Festival
Wednesday 17 - Sunday 21 February
New Zealand’s Art Deco capital, Napier, celebrates its annual festival in February each year with over 200 events, including entertainment experiences, outdoor concerts, vintage car parades, fashions shows, dining experiences, great Gatsby picnics and so much more. Over 40,000 people flock from all over the world into Napier to see it transform back in time and enjoy this iconic event.

Crowded House at Church Road Winery

'It's only natural' that Crowded House would choose to include Hawke's Bay on their highly anticipated summer tour, To the Island. The iconic New Zealand band are set to play at Church Road Winery where 'everything is good for you'. The tour will feature founding members Neil Finn and Nick Seymour along with producer and keyboardist Mitchell Froom, guitarist and singer Liam Finn and drummer Elroy Finn.
