5 must-do Winter Deco 2021 events
There's so much to like about Winter Deco weekend, which runs 16-18 July. Stunning fashion, sophisticated dining, cool jazz performances, and classic films. Here's five events we think should be on your must-do list, guaranteed to deliver feel-good vibes and a warm Hawke's Bay welcome.
The Old Church, Friday 16 July, 7pm-Midnight, $130
Over 100 years ago at the very beginning of the 1920s, the Chelsea Arts Club held a monumental costume party, The Dazzle Ball, at Royal Albert Hall in London to celebrate the world’s emergence from the global crisis that was the Great War. This time at the other end of the world in Napier where The Art Deco Trust and The Metropolitan Club invite you to celebrate the good times we believe are on the horizon with our very own “Dazzle Ball”. Guests will enjoy live music from one of New Zealand’s top big bands, The Royal New Zealand Air Force Jazz Orchestra, theatrical performances throughout the evening including performances from the Encore Deco Dancers, and the opportunity to win incredible prizes for the best dressed.
Deco Dining @ Central Fire Station
Saturday 17 July, 7pm-11pm, $145
Look no further for Winter Deco’s premier dining experience where you will be transported directly into the decadent world of Art Deco dining.
