Welcome to Prinsy's Tours. We will personally drive you on the tour of your choice. We offer full and half day tours with flexibility to meet your needs. We specialise in personal friendly wine and rural tours in Hawke's Bay, operating out of Napier, Hastings, Havelock North and Central Hawke's Bay.

We have 12 years experience in the tourism industry and 28 years experience in our own business. We are 100% pure Hawke's Bay.

Our guides have extensive knowledge of the wine industry and Hamish has the added bonus of a comprehensive knowledge of the regions history, wine, rural and horticulture industries which ensures your tour is interesting, lots of fun and a unique experience of our region. Travel in luxury air-conditioned coaches on our tours.

All our tours are personalised and include a great selection of Hawke's Bay wines whilst enjoying the different architecture, scenery and history of the region. Learn about the devastating 1931 Hawke's Bay earthquake and how Napier was rebuilt to become the "Art Deco Capital of the World". Meet wine makers on your travels and learn first hand about the industry. We do not have a set route for our wine tours and guarantee all clients will experience and taste a great selection of our wines and enjoy the different ambience, scenery, history and varieties each winery offers.

We pride ourselves on our personalized, quality & informative tours specializing in small groups. (max 12 pax)
No large buses used except by prior arrangement to cater for a specified large group.

Cruise Ship Tours
Whilst cruise ships are in port we will offer a modified 3 hour wine & sight seeing tour.  Time of departure will depend on when the ship is in port.  This will include a tasting at one or two wineries, sightseeing through our exquisite countryside, learning about our region & its history plus a trip up Te Mata Peak (399m) for the best 360 deg. view on the East Coast of the North Island, N.Z.  We will still offer our full & half day wine tours to cruise ship passengers if their ship is in port long enough to cater for these.

We are now taking bookings for 2012/13 season.

Wine Tour (Half Day)
Explore and taste fine wines selected from our superb wineries throughout the region. Areas include Ngatarawa Triangle, Gimblett Gravels etc (includes four wineries). Sit back and relax as we travel through Hawkes Bays beautiful countryside to the breathtaking 360 degree views of Hawke's Bay and the Pacific Ocean from the top of Te Mata Peak -a must see on your visit to Hawke's Bay!

Wine Tour (Full Day)
Explore and taste fine wines selected from our superb wineries throughout the region. Areas include Ngatarawa Triangle, Gimblett Gravels etc tour includes five wineries, and a lunch at a winery (at your cost). Sit back and relax as we travel through Hawke's Bay's beautiful countryside to the breathtaking 360 degree views of Hawke's Bay and the Pacific Ocean from the top of Te Mata Peak (399m).

Rural Experience
Sit back and enjoy beautiful Hawke's Bay from Te Mata Peak and Bluff Hill lookouts. Drive through the orchards and vineyards, visit a sheep farm with sheep shearing (in season) and sheep dog demonstration. Travel to a renowned Red Deer Farm and velvet factory, then finish off with a relaxing glass of wine at some of the Bay's best wineries.

Trout Fishing
Half and full day trips in some of Hawke's Bay's beautiful rivers. Includes all gear, licence and picnic hamper.

Wonderful tour

"My wife and I took this tour while visiting NZ. I'm from NZ and my wife South Africa and we both thoroughly enjoyed our day with Prinsy's. Being a Kiwi I can assure you that this is a "must do" activity if you're in the area. Whether from NZ or abroad you will find this well worth it. The tour operator, Hamish was particularly friendly and we felt as though we had known him for years! He made it such a memorable experience and shared his wealth of knowledge about the Hawke's Bay area. We were treated to a beautiful sunny Hawke's Bay day and taken to some of the best spots. From Te Mata peak gasping at the breathtaking scenery to the beautiful wineries. Very informative and friendly tour
"We did the half-day tour, visiting 4 wineries in several of Napier's vineyard areas, plus a trip up to Te Mata Peak. Hamish was very welcoming and made an effort to accommodate us alongside the rest of the group who were doing the full-day tour; he took just the two of us round Mission winery while the others were having lunch. Even with the whole group together it was quite personal - there were only 6 people. Hamish is a great guide with endless interesting stuff to show you and talk about; lots of information on the history of the region and agriculture, as well as the wineries and wines. He's able to make the experience feel relaxed, like being shown round by a friend, rather than like a formal tour. Overall it was relaxing, enjoyable and very informative. We got to try (and buy) some great wines, got a tour of a large area around Napier, enjoyed the views from the peak, and were grateful for the door-to-door service with air-conditioned minibus! "Hamish picked us up at our hotel and there were 5 in our group in total. We visited 5 of the major vineyards and got to taste a great variety of different wines. "Our group of 5 had a wonderful day discovering the wineries of the Hawke's Bay with Prinsy's Tours. We were collected from our accommodation & then took Hamish's very sound advice for the best wineries to do some wine tastings. we were even given a quick lesson in how to make the most of your tasting- little skills we still find ourselves using, 'swill it 3 times, take 3 good sniffs'! a nice drive up Te Mata Peak was a fabulous bonus and we were able to look down on one of the wineries we'd just been to. "An incredible day in port at Napier with Prinsys. Hamish and Mike met us at the ship and our group of 7 was treated to all the wonderful sights of Napier in our private van. Napier has beautiful vineyards and wineries. Our favorite was Moana Park of Hawke's Bay where we had a extensive private wine tasting and wonderful conversation with the owner and the chance to purchase some exceptional wines to take on board for the rest of our cruise. The sights from the top of Te Mata Peak are magnificent the entire Napier area is incredibly beautiful, don't miss a trip to the Peak. Diane packed us a lovely picnic of cheese and crackers to be enjoyed during our wine tasting stops. The tour was structured to do whatever interested us. We picked strawberries and stopped for our first Hokey Pokey ice cream (a must to try). The day flew by, there was still more we would have loved to experience. We will definitely go back to Napier and travel with Prinsys again. First class service from a first class operation." Jan 2010
