We have been crafting quality sheepskin articles since 1969. From the very beginning free tannery tours were introduced. Considerable growth has taken place over the years and now more than 20,000 visitors visit Classic Sheepskins and participate in these tours.
The tours are unique in New Zealand and a truly genuine educational and "hands-on" experience that caters for all ages. They are interesting and informative, following the raw sheepskin (a by-product of our agricultural industry) step-by-step through the entire tanning, manufacturing and finishing process.
Classic Sheepskins produce and manufacture a diverse range of products, car seat covers, sheepskin rugs, infant care baby rugs, bed underlay's, sheepskin footwear boots, slippers and moccasins, designer rugs, cushions and soft furnishings, equestrian products, medical accessories, industrial lines and NZ souvenirs.
After the tour enjoy taking advantage of shopping and benefiting from our unbelievable low factory door prices. A fully insured overseas mailing service is available. Goods posted overseas by Classic Sheepskins are exempt of 15% goods and service tax.
