Paddy Cooper carves New Zealand native wood and greenstone. Come and meet and buy direct from the artist. Conveniently located just two minutes from the airport, turn off the main road by the Shell truckstop into Fannin St and then right into Ferguson St. Look for the big carved fish hook on the front lawn.

Paddy has been carving for many years, also carves other mediums like whales teeth, as well as exhibiting other artists' work, including paintings by his renowned daughter Natasha, sketches by the world famous forger C.F.Goldie, and has some antique carvings for sale.

His own work includes tiki, pendants and sculptures in greenstone, and matau (fish hooks), whale tails, koru (fern fronds), dolphins, bowls and coffee tables in New Zealand native woods. The wood he uses includes red beech, swamp kauri, puriri, kahikatea, and pohutukawa, and the greenstone includes kawakawa, kahurangi, inanga and Marsden flower jade.

Paddy's work adorns homes, offices and collections throughout the world, including a large sculpture in Wellington. As well as from his own gallery, Paddy exhibits at galleries throughout new Zealand. See web site for details.
