Church Road Winery
Church Road is a boutique winery that applies hands-on winemaking techniques to the very best of the Hawke's Bay harvest. The winery, one of the oldest in Hawke's Bay, was founded in 1897, and then totally renovated in 1989. In the years since then, our wines have earned a glowing reputation. We're proud to show you our working winery and a museum highlighting over 100 years of winemaking at Church Road.

Church Road offers a memorable experience for visitors - from our winery tours and fascinating Wine Museum to wine tastings and our newest offering - 'The Bay Platter'; a sumptuous selection representing the best of local meat and produce from the Hawke's Bay region, suitable as a meal for two and available daily for only $44.
Winery Tours
You can take a guided tour through our working winery and New Zealand's first wine museum, housed underground in old concrete wine vats, where the oldest winemaking relics in the country lie entombed, some dating back 3000 years. Follow the tour with a tasting of our fine wines, including the rarely found, limited release Church Road Cuve Series.
Winery and Museum Tours include a tasting and cost $15 per person. Tours take place daily at 11am and 2pm daily (please wear covered footwear).
