Ormlie Lodge is the elegant former home of Gertrude Smith, built in 1899 by her wealthy father, William Nelson.
With an impressive history and surrounded by 12 acres of fully restored gardens and tranquil birdsong, Ormlie offers relaxed dining as well as luxury boutique accommodation, combining a little of Hawke's Bay's old world Victorian charm with contemporary service and modern day comfort.

Guests have a choice of dining ala carte under twinkling chandeliers in front of the open fire in our elegant Ormlie Restaurant during winter or on a warm day, Ormlie’s gardens, verandah and courtyard are the perfect way to while away an afternoon, sipping on a glass of bubbles enjoying High Tea or grazing on our infamous Chef’s Choice Platter. Our menus are constantly evolving embracing Hawkes Bay’s finest seasonal produce and freshest ingredients.
