Hawkes Bay is renowned for its Mediterranean climate with long hot summers and mild winters. The pleasant and settled weather is one of the prime reasons to visit. It is also why the region is so well known for producing great wine and food.
Typical summer temperatures range from 20°C to 30°C (maximum daytime) In winter, high temperatures are between 10°C to 15°C. Annual sunshine hours average about 2200.
