New Zealand has been selected as the first country outside of the UK to host City Showcase – the London music festival that launched superstars Amy Winehouse, Keane and Razorlight and Napier is set to host the event.
New & emerging talent will get the opportunity to perform in bars, cafes and shops during the day, creating a musical village in the heart of Art Deco Napier's CBD. In the evening, the gigs will move to Napier's well-established concert venues where new talent will be supported by some headline acts.
The public will be invited to vote for their favourite act and the festival will culminate in a finale - 'Finding the Future' - at the iconic Soundshell in front of a judging panel made up of leaders from the New Zealand music industry.
Entry into the daytime venues will be free but by purchasing your wristband you will be entitled to promotions within each daytime venue whilst the performance is taking place. Entry into the evening gigs and the Soundshell will be by wristband only.
